A Reference in Simply Track Time terms is an account or job or project that time is allocated to - it can be a customer, a client, a client's project, or a client's matter.

Adding a Reference

You can add reference by clicking the Reference link on the main form <picture> and opening the Manage References form.

  1. Click the New button and fill in the Reference Label.

  2. Click Save.

  3. The new reference will be added to the list.

  4. Click Ok to close or you can enter another reference.

Editing a Reference

You can edit reference by clicking the Reference link on the main form <picture> and opening the Manage References form.

  1. Select the reference that you want to update by clicking it in the list.

  2. The selected reference will appear in the Reference Label textbox.

  3. Change the text to suit.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Click Ok to close.

Deleting a Reference

You can delete reference by clicking the Reference link on the main form <picture> and opening the Manage References form.

  1. Select the reference that you want to update by clicking it in the list.

  2. The selected reference will appear in the Reference Label textbox.

  3. Click the Delete button.

    1. (This should really be a checkbox - see comment).

  4. Click Ok to close.
